Email Marketing 101 and SDR Crash Course: Week Two Update
This post is part of the personal sales and marketing crash course project I am undertaking in December. If you’re interested in reading about the goals I set or what I accomplished at the end of the month, feel free to click around!
How I felt this week
I just started a new job at Target for the holiday season. I have been putting in multiple over time hours and have been clocking an average of 8–9 hours a day. It’s been a monumental transition for me since I’ve only ever worked part-time hours. I’m loving the position and the day-to-day requirements of the job, but I am exhausted at the end of the day. Needless to say, it’s going to take additional effort to get everything accomplished this month!
What I accomplished this week
- I taught myself all about sales funnels! I learned how to optimize them and all the components that make up the most effective funnels.
- I started writing the first draft of the December Cre8tives newsletter
Cre8tives Newsletter update
I curated topics for Randalyn’s monthly newsletter and pieced together the writing that makes up the bulk of the email. I collaborated with Randi on the first round of ideas.
I started the writing process by combing through Randi’s past sent newsletters to gain inspiration and a better picture of the type of reader/audience the newsletter aims to reach.
Next Steps:
- Curate the remaining creative talking points
- Dive deeper with expanding each talking point and write the bulk of newsletter content
Looking Ahead
I landed a second round interview for an Outbound SDR position for a company called Xplenty. Preparing for this interview will be a major component of next week. Click here to fast forward to the third week of my personal crash course journey!
